Dr. Gabriel Hernández-Sierra received a BSc in Computer Science from the Havana University (www.uh.cu) in 2005. He completed his PhD Degree in Automatic and Computing at Polytechnic University of Havana (CUJAE), Cuba and Avignon University, France in December 2014. Since 2005, he has been working with the Biometric Research Group of the Advanced Technologies Application Center (CENATAV), in Cuba. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Image and Video Processing, Machine Learning, Signal Processing, Natural Language Processing, Speaker Recognition and Speaker Diarization. He has advised master and grade thesis and currently, he is an advisor of one PhD student. He has published more than 20 articles about the development of new methods for automatic speaker recognition and has presented more than 10 oral and poster presentations in conferences and scientific meetings. He has reviewed papers for prestigious conferences and journals. Currently, he is a member of the Cuban Association of Pattern Recognition (ACRP), Cuban Society of Mathematics and Computer Science (SCMC) and the International Association of Pattern Recognition (IAPR).
