Biography

Dr. Eduardo Garea Llano graduated of Geologist Hydrogeology Engineer and MSc in Geology in the Institute of Mines of San Petersburgo, Russia in 1993 and the grade of Scientific Doctor in Technical Sciences in the specialty of Geodesy and Cartography in the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Havana in 2003. At the present time he is a researcher of the Department of Pattern Recognition of the Advanced Technologies Application Center of Cuba. He is an Adjunct professor of the Department of Geophysics of the Agrarian University of Havana since 1996.

Dr. Garea has focused his investigations on face recognition , facial reconstruction in 3D, the Semantic Processing of Data Space , the Remote Perception and the complex interpretation of data space using tools of analysis of the Systems of Geographical Information (GIS). He has published more than 10 technical papers. He has been tutor or co tutor of doctoral and mastery thesis. In his thesis of doctorate he worked on obtaining and validating a new methodology GIS for the complex integration of data space and a new method of space recognition of areas of combination of natural factors in the context of an analytic GIS.
